The Republican Executive Committee of Jefferson County

Jefferson County is divided into five Districts and fifteen Precincts.  Each of the Precincts have one committeeman and one committeewoman, with an additional pair of seats for each 1000 total voters in the Precinct.  At present, Jefferson County has 32 Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen.  These positions are subject to "qualifying" and elected by the Republican voters of each Precinct in each Presidential year Republican Primary, 2004, 2008, 2012, etc.

Each County in Florida also has one State Committeeman and one State Committeewoman, elected at the same time by the County at large.

The Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen, the State Committeeman and the State Committeewoman, make up the Republican Executive Committee.  In Jefferson County, there are 34 positions on the REC.

Each Precinct may have an alternate for each committee person, selected by the full REC.  The alternates may vote ONLY in the absence of the respective precinct committee person.

Anyone who wishes to be a part of the REC as an Alternate Committeeman or Committeewoman, please call Clyde Simpson at 228-4400.

The following persons make up the Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Jefferson County.
