The following persons are candidates for respective offices in Jefferson County and have the support of the Republican Executive Committee.

S.W. Ellis.. is the Republican candidate for Property Appraiser of Jefferson County. Ms Ellis is the current Chair of the Florida Board of Realtors. 





 

David Cash is the Republican candidate for Superintendent of Schools.

Stephen Fulford is a Republican candidate for County Commissioner in District 1.  The Fulford family has owned and operated Fulford Farms for more than 100 years.

Earleen Knight was recently appointed to the School Board by Governor Charlie Crist to serve the unexpired term of the late Beverly Sloan.

Ms. Knight retired from the Jefferson County School system after more than thirty years as a teacher. She received multiple National Awards as a teacher.

District 2 is the only minority District in Jefferson County. Ms. Knight is opposed by three candidates, all minority. Neither of the opposing candidates have the experience or credentials of Ms. Knight.

We endorse and support Ms. Knight.

Marianne Arbulu is a newcomer to Jefferson County. She opposes one of the oldest members of the Board, Franklin Hightower.

Ms. Arbulu is bright, energetic and unafraid to take on the challenges of the problems in our County. Although, she has not been involved in the local system, that may well be an asset. Her experiences are marked with success. Her creativity and grasp of the issues should play a key role in rekindling this community.
