On August 26th, the day of the 2008 Primary Election in Jefferson County,
there were:
10,062 Registered Voters, specifically
7110 Democrats (70.7 %)
2145 Republicans (21.3 %)
284 Independent and others (2.8 %)
523 No Party Affiliation (5.2 %)

A message from the Chairman, Jefferson County Republican Party:

Make 2009 the year you broke the ties to the being a Democrat. My Grand-daddy would have been the first in line even though he was a life-long Democrat.  Things were quite different then.  He had smaller government, less taxes, pride in America. 

You bet we need "Change", including our Congress.  Stop the senseless spending and say no to President Obama.  Rid Congress of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and, yes, some select imposters of good Republicans".   

Get involved NOW.  Will it be Charlie Crist or Marco Rubio?  Will Republicans keep the Governor's mansion?  You can help.
